How long have you been in business?
EMC Engineering Services, Inc. started up in Savannah in 1978 and has just celebrated their 35th anniversary of being in business. During this time the company has grown to have seven offices throughout the state of Georgia.
What is your primary product or service?
Environmental, Marine, and Civil Engineering Planning and Permitting, Surveying Services, Landscape Architecture, Construction Materials Testing, and Construction Inspection.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Enjoyed being involved in building things and understanding how they worked. Worked as a construction laborer, and on a survey crew while in college. I enjoy being involved in the planning, permitting, and actual construction of projects.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Being able to give a personal touch to the client, while providing the design team necessary for a successful project. Small Town Service with Big City Expertise.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently offices located in Savannah (corporate/branch office), Statesboro, Brunswick, Augusta, Albany, Columbus/Atlanta and Valdosta.

West out of Savannah onto I -16 to Chatham Parkway Exit, South on Chatham Parkway, Turn Left at First Light onto Chatham Center, then take second right onto Chatham Center South Drive. EMC guest parking and entrance is at the third left.

EMC is a corporation with several shareholders who make the day to day business decisions for the company.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That EMC did a good job, that the client enjoyed working with us, and they plan to work with us on other projects.
