How long have you been in business?
Kevin Barry’s officially opened on October 31, 1980 at midnight. And, for you history buffs, November 1, 1980 was the 70th anniversary of the execution of Kevin G. Barry; our namesake and one of the heroes of the Irish war of Independence.
What is your primary product or service?
Irish & Southern fare as well as offering many choices with gluten free and vegetarian options.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Prior to Kevin Barry's Pub opening, October 31, 1980, there was no Irish music south of Washington, DC. The owner just wanted to open a "little Irish place that offered great music". The first entertainer was Tommy Mulverhill and Kevin Barry's continues to have men and women singing songs of Ireland every night in our music room. Kevin Barry's Pub has strived to keep the true Irish tradition alive by hosting these dedicated troubadours seven nights a week at 8:00 pm*. Come in early and grab a good seat, have some dinner, a pint or two, and sing along (as long as you can carry a tune)!

While honoring our military members past and present, we strive to preserve a welcoming environment for lively conversations complemented by world-renowned troubadours singing songs of Ireland and American folk. Kevin Barry's Irish Pub does not offer wi-fi or television as we encourage you to sit at the bar and talk to the person next to you.
